It releases a horizontal ray of golden light that deals an enormous amount of holy damage and can be used to wipe out entire groups of enemies in one action skill use.
It can reach up to 2000 damage per wave at LVL 150, and with the right Stat distribution, Its ability to wipe out groups of enemies in Elden Ring makes the Wave of Gold Ash of War perfect for amassing a large number of Runes. Unfortunately, the Sacred Relic Sword does not benefit from wielding it two-handed, which increases the overall damage of Melee Armaments by an estimated 5% or so. Instead, players should equip a Sacred Seal on their off-hand, which benefits from Faith scaling.
The Sacred Relic Sword is an incredible holy sword that can be unlocked only in the Endgame. Players can take advantage of the Sacred Relic Sword in New Game Plus or Elden Ring's Endgame Multiplayer.
Sacred Relic Sword Abilities
While the Sacred Relic Sword has decent damage and is a good weapon for Faith/Dex builds, the main strength of this greatsword lies in its unique Wave of Gold skill. After spending 2 seconds charging the attack, you fire a long-reaching and expanding wave of Holy energy that deals massive damage to everyone in front of the player. This attack allows players to almost instantly destroy dozens of enemies like Undead without letting them get close to you.
Of course, this weapon is far from ideal since it is not so effective against bosses. Additionally, it scales poorly through strength and can't be infused with Ashes of War. However, at this stage of progress, you are unlikely to find anything more effective for destroying almost any crowd of simple enemies. It will allow you to avoid spending time farming runes and fighting routine enemies. Instead, you can devote your time to more essential post-story content.
