How to Get to the Cathedral of Dragon Communion
If you’re playing Elden Ring and are looking to use some of the Dragon Hearts you may have gotten to get distinctive dragon abilities, you’ll need to know where to spend them. There are 2 particular locations you should keep in mind, and both are reasonably reachable, the Church of Dragon Communion and the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.
Finding the Cathedral of Dragon Communion is a more straightforward task. Though it’s also a dangerous one. The Cathedral is in Caelid, east of Limgrave, as implied by a brightly glowing message written on the rubble in the Dragon Communion Church.
The easiest and safest way to get here is heading northeast from the Third Church of Marika, shown below. Follow the road into Caelid until it turns south. Then continue following it on Torrent. You’ll pass through a plain suffering from Scarlet Rot and home to giant, mutated wolves and crows. Avoid them at all costs — just keep galloping south.
If the Caelid Highway South Site of Grace is not yet unlocked in Elden Ring or if the player still has not reached the Caelid region then simply head to the nearest Site of Grace closest to Caelid, located east of the map, and then follow the main road further into the Caelid Region until reaching the aforementioned fork in the road. There is only one enemy at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion, a Banished Knight, guarding the entrance to the Cathedral. This enemy is heavily armored and deals high damage, players should not underestimate it, as the Banished Knight can be challenging to defeat, luckily there is a way around this enemy.
When players reach the Cathedral, it is already in ruins in Elden Ring and can be entered by walking around the Cathedral wall and walking into where the wall has collapsed. Entering the Cathedral gains players access to the Dragon Altar. The Dragon Altar is located directly in the center of the Cathedral. Interact with the Altar to unlock Dragon Communion Incantations.
In the Cathedral of Dragon Communion, Dragon Hearts can be exchanged for draconic incantations at the Altar of Dragon Communion. Each incantation costs a different amount of Focus Points and necessitates a high level of Faith and Arcane.
You can obtain Dragon Hearts as a reward for defeating the bosses throughout Elden Ring. Based on your FP, you can obtain the following three Incantations in Elden Ring.
