Where to Find the Willow Boss in Fortnite

The Fortnitemares 2022 event brought a few map changes including Grim Gables and Willow’s Haunt. You can find Willow’s Haunt on the west side of the chapter 3 season 4 location. It’s northwest of the Reality Tree and southwest of the Rave Cave.

When you first approach, you'll notice a few things. First, it's one of the Fortnitemares spots where it gets dark and spooky-looking no matter the time of day, alongside Grim Gables, the Reality Tree and the Evil Dead cabin. Second, there's a high density of undead creatures around--the zombie humans and chickens seem to be everywhere.

Third, there are a bunch of baskets of Halloween candy around, making this cabin probably the best source for that stuff on the map for this year's Fortnitemares. The different types of candy have different effects--gum drops give you a low gravity effect and pretzels let you teleport short distances, for example. So they can be pretty effective game changers. Finally, inside the house you'll find Willow, and she'll attack you on sight.

How to Defeat the Willow Boss in Fortnite

Like most Fortnite bosses, Willow roams the area and attacks on sight. She has a large health pool but you can take her down solo with good positioning. Her only weapon is an axe, so she’ll constantly chase you down in an attempt to deal melee damage.

Players can lure her out of Willow's Haunt and shoot at her from the high ground. While giant mushrooms in the area are a good option, using a Port-A-Bunker will be better.

Alternatively, players can even use Willow's Haunt itself as a high ground. Although keep in mind that since she can parkour, she will be able to climb up. However, players will be able to get a few shots off before this happens. With a bit of careful maneuvering and micro-rotations, players will be able to run circles around Willow with ease and defeat her. Remember to use an SMG or shotgun when using this strategy.

The boss fight with Willow is easy enough on its own, but with every player in the lobby swarming this small cabin to complete their Fortnitemares quest, you may find yourself eliminated before you can even find Willow. Thankfully, the quest says to “help defeat Willow,” so you don’t have to land the killing blow. Simply deal enough damage to her and survive the onslaught of other players and you’ll never have to return to this trashy cabin after completing this Fortnitemares challenge for yourself.
